Roads Clear Up After Morning Snowfall, Chance for Black Ice Overnight

Wikimedia Commons

Roads in our region should be mostly clear this afternoon after light snowfall closed some schools and even caused a few accidents.

According to the National Weather Service in Paducah, most of our area saw just an inch or less.

Marshall and Lyon counties topped the list at two inches of snow, while McCracken and Graves accumulated a mild dusting of half an inch.

The NWS isn’t expecting more snow as temperatures across the region begin a warming trend tomorrow afternoon.

The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet advises all travelers tonight and early tomorrow to watch for black ice and patchy fog.
