Coach Steve Prohm says the ranking helps put his team’s hard work on the radar.
“Hopefully, people will start looking at –I mean, this is twice in the last four years now- so hopefully we can start to garner respect nationally, and this is another step in that process.”
MSU's last loss came in a 58-93 blowout to Valparaiso. Sophomore guard Cameron Payne says that loss brought the team together.
“We didn’t have our flow. Ever since that game in Nashville, we said ‘man, we’ve got to work’ and I guess we started going harder and the production started to flow.”
