Bob Leeper Wins McCracken County Judge-Executive Office

Former 2nd District State Senator Bob Leeper is McCracken County’s new Judge-Executive. 

The independent beat Democrat Jeff Hines by 319 votes to succeed current Judge-Executive Van Newberry.  

Newberry opted out of seeking reelection amid felony charges for tampering with county zoning maps.

Leeper has served in the Kentucky senate since 1991. 

He was not available for comment Tuesday night.
