A feasibility study is underway for a Western Kentucky Ag Expo Center. The center would be a joint effort representing Christian, Todd and Trigg counties. Members of the public discussed opportunities for children and farm families in a recent forum, which included the fiscal courts of the involved counties.

The Delta Regional Authority is investing more than $100,000 dollars in the Todd County Career Path Institute. The western Kentucky facility trains adults, college and high school students in welding, industrial maintenance and electrical networking. The money will go towards equipment for hands-on training.

Severe Weather Sweeps Through Western KY and Southern IL

Communities throughout western Kentucky and southern Illinois are contending with high water, hail damage, and downed trees this morning following severe storms that passed through our region last night. 

Residents in Beulah in Hopkins County reported a large funnel cloud at about 7:30 p.m., and a large wedge-shaped tornado close to a mile wide was reported in Christian an hour later.  Winds of up to 70 miles an hour were recorded near Elkton in Todd County.
