Murray State officials have named a new Acting Provost and Vice President for Academic Affairs.

This Saturday (May 10) is graduation day at Murray State, and will include the first five doctoral degrees to be awarded in the university's 92 year history. Commencement begins at 10 a.m. and can be streamed live at Murray State's website. Murray State Associate Provost Renae Duncan visits Sounds Good with all the details.

Murray State Associate Provost Renae Duncan speaks with Kate Lochte on Sounds Good about a pilot program this fall called Thoroughbred Academy, involving Trigg and Christian County students earning college credits at reduced cost. The program will allow high school juniors take classes at MSU's Hopkinsville campus at a cost of $150 per course. Duncan says this could save incoming students potentially thousands of dollars in tuition.
