Dunn to Interview for Illinois State Presidency Wednesday

Murray State President Dr. Randy Dunn will be in Normal, Illinois tomorrow for an interview to become Illinois State University president.  Dunn is one of four candidates for the position.  Youngstown State in Ohio has announced Dunn is among the three finalists for their presidency.  MSU Director of Community Relations Mark Welch says the three candidates will interview in Youngstown between May 1st and 3rd.  The Murray State Board of Regents opted not to renew Dunn’s contract in March.  His current contract with Murray State expires July 2014.

Dunn Finalist for Illinois State University Presidency

Murray State University President Randy Dunn is among four finalists for Illinois State University's Presidency. Dunn was named as a finalist for Ohio's Youngstown State University yesterday. Dunn has been searching for a new job consistently for the last year in anticipation of the Board of Regents not renewing his contract. MSU's board of regents voted 7 to 4 against renewing Dunn's contract on March 15th.

Kentucky Attorney General Opinion: MSU Board of Regents Violated KY Open Meetings Law

Kentucky’s Attorney General says the Murray State Board of Regents violated Kentucky’s open meetings law when a quorum of the board attended a social gathering at the home of Regent Sharon Green on March 14th. Lexington Attorney Jim Deckard sought the opinion after board Chairman Constantine Curris, through an attorney, denied allegations of an illegal meeting.
