Circuit Judge Craig Clymer is reviewing a revised plea agreement involving assault and wanton endangerment charges against suspended Murray State basketball player Zay Jackson. Clymer rejected an initial plea deal Commonwealth Attorney Mark Blankenship offered Jackson.

Murray State’s record-winning 2011-2012 basketball season has prompted a 47 percent increase in revenue from merchandise licensing royalties. Assistant Vice President of Communications Catherine Sivills says the university is on track to hit the $100,000 mark for the first time this year.

In Racer basketball, the men’s team fell to the Valparaiso Crusaders 64 to 66 Saturday and will face the U-T Martin Skyhawks this Thursday.

In Racer basketball over the weekend, the Murray State men’s team won their fifth straight victory against the Western Kentucky University Hilltoppers 75 to 70 Sunday at the CFSB Center in Murray.  The 8 and 1 Racers now stand at six straight home wins.
