The Downtown Paris Association hosts the 4th annual Downtown Paris Week this week, with dining events, an art walk, carriage rides, historical tours, music on the square and more. On Sounds Good, Kate Lochte speaks with the Association's Executive Director Kathy Ray about the event.

"You can eat ice cream for three hours!" This Saturday, Downtown Paris hosts their annual Ice Cream Social and Antique Car Show fundraiser. Dig in to 180 gallons of ice cream at themed booths and see shiny cars on display. There's also ice-cream eating contests, frozen t-shirt contests, and inflatables for kids. Downtown Paris Association's Director Kathy Ray joins Sounds Good with the details.

Downtown Paris Week kicks off this Sunday and continues until June 14. Downtown Paris Association invite visitors to come and experience a taste of Paris - dining at local restaurants, Music on the Square featuring the Chill Tonics, a guided tour highlighting historical places downtown, an art walk including several locations, carriage rides and more. 'Eye Full of Paris Weekend' 2013 Preview

Kate Lochte chats with the Downtown Paris Association's Kathy Ray about this weekend's Eyeful of Paris Celebration. Commercial Bank presents Noon on the Square on the Courthouse Lawn on Friday featuring country music artist John Austin McDaniel. On Saturday, the PHC Arts Council and DPA present Arts Round the Square and Kidzone Live on the Courthouse Lawn from 9 am to 4 pm. Paris Winery presents a Concert in the Vineyards that evening from 6 to 10. See more about the weekend's events.


The Downtown Paris Association opens its Downtown Unwrapped Holiday Celebration the first weekend in November.  Association President Kathy Ray (Vice President, Financial Center Manager, First Bank, Paris) speaks with Sounds Good about Christmas Open Houses around the Court Square through the weekend and lots of other special goings-on.
