Paducah Riverfront Project Groundbreaking

The Paducah Riverfront Development Project breaks ground today after several years of delays. The ceremony is at 11 am in Schultz park, and will celebrate the launch of the project. The PRDP was delayed several times after endangered mussel species were found at the proposed locations. The decision to move forward comes after a recent ecological impact report came back clear for the current location. Paducah Mayor Bill Paxton said in August that construction would likely begin early next year.

Hopkinsville Breaks Ground on New Municipal Center

City of Hopkinsville

Hopkinsville breaks ground tomorrow on the city’s new municipal center. The Hopkinsville City Council recently authorized $8.2 million to fund the project. Administrative Coordinator Nikki Radford says the new downtown location will house the city’s administrative offices, as well as the community development council and the Hopkinsville Human Relations Commission.

Groundbreaking For New MSU Paducah Campus

Murray State University breaks ground for its new Paducah campus today.  MSU President Dr. Randy Dunn and area dignitaries will be on hand for this afternoon’s ceremony at 3:30 at the Barkley Woods property.
