Hall of Fame Building Planned For Elizabethtown

An empty church and a vacant lot in downtown Elizabethtown could become the permanent home for the Kentucky High School Basketball Hall of Fame. 

Fundraising efforts are in full swing and detailed plans for the building are expected to be revealed next month.   Former high school and college basketball coach Mike Pollio says Elizabethtown is the perfect size for the Hall of Fame.

Elizabethtown Native Nominated for Tony Award

A Kentucky native will be on the edge of his seat when the Tony Awards are given out on Sunday. Darron West of Elizabethtown is nominated for best sound design or his work with the play "Peter and the Starcatcher."

The play has been nominated for nine Tony Awards. West told The News-Enterprise the nomination is "a little mind-blowing." West's work on "Peter and the Starcatcher" was finished long ago and he's since moved on to other projects. Now he's checking off lists of things he has to do leading up to the red carpet.
