USW Local 7-669 Ratifies Three-Year Contract with Honeywell Metropolis

  The United Steelworkers Local 7-669 have ratified a new agreement with Honeywell Metropolis, officially ending a work stoppage that began in August.

Honeywell and the union reached a tentative agreement last week, after working with federal mediators.

Wilson Sporting Goods Acquires Louisville Slugger Brand

A 120-foot-tall replica bat fronts the Louisville Slugger Museum & Factory in Louisville, Ky. Hillerich & Bradsby on Monday announced a deal to sell its Louisville Slugger brand to Wilson Sporting Goods Co. for $70 million.

Baseball's most iconic bat has a new owner. Monday, Hillerich & Bradsby Co., which owns Louisville Slugger, announced the brand would be acquired by Wilson Sporting Goods Co. for $70 million in cash. The move means that Wilson, maker of Major League Baseball's official glove, will soon own the maker of MLB's official bat.

Ky. Municipal Power Agency Refinances $211 Million in Bonds

Paducah Power System and Princeton Electric will lessen some financial strain after refinancing $211 million in bonds this week.

The two utilities make up the Kentucky Municipal Power Agency, which owns 7.82 percent of the recently troubled Prairie State Energy Campus.

Tennessee Non-Profit CEO, Directors Indicted For Misusing More Than $730K

A Camden, Tennessee, non-profit has allegedly misused more than $730,000 in federal funding.

The Comptroller’s Office reports ABC Nutrition Program administered the funding for more than 330 daycare homes and centers in Tennessee.
