Paducah, KY – A federal stimulus grant will fill three open slots on Paducah's police force. City Manager Jim Zumwalt says Paducah has qualified for the nearly $500,000 grant which will pay full salaries and benefits for three years. Zumwalt hopes the new-hires can be added to the force by the end of the year. City commissioners are expected to formally approve the grant application next Tuesday. The new additions will bring the total number of uniformed staff to 81.
