British animator David Firth has gained a large following and acclaim over the years on YouTube and the animation website Newgrounds for his darkly humorous and surreal work. WKMS Youth Reporter Kayla Eicholtz admires the artwork in his videos and was curious to find out more about his creative process, to learn that while some artwork may be strange and possibly even scary, the originality of the idea can be a determining factor in how interesting a piece of art is. She spoke with Firth over the phone, while he was on a trip through Europe seeking inspiration, in Switzerland at this particular moment.
