Paducah, KY – A Paducah man is in custody after an incident at West Kentucky Community and Technical College yesterday. Police say 27-year-old Jeremy Hirsch allegedly assaulted a computer lab worker on campus. 53-year-old Roger Rives was treated at a Paducah hospital for minor injuries. Hirsch is alleged to be mentally ill and has been charged with being a danger to himself or others. He was described as "confused," claiming Rives and another man named Malcolm had tried to kill him by stabbing his car tire with a metal rod. Hirsch has been admitted to Western State Hospital at Hopkinsville.
