Widow of Former Marshall County Judge/Executive Sworn In as Successor

Marshall County Tribune Courier/Marshall Co. EDC

The wife of the late Mike Miller will succeed him as Marshall County's Judge/Executive. Governor Beshear appointed Chyrill Miller to the job Friday, a month after her husband passed away.
“We continue to grieve with her and her family, but I am confident that she will carry on the good work that Mike brought to that county throughout his career," Beshear said in a release.

Miller was sworn in today, but has declined requests for interview.

During today's ceremony she said  "I look forward to serving the people of Marshall County and carrying on the 41 year legacy of my late husband. I plan to move the County forward and will work closely alongside County Employees and elected County and State Officials"

Gov. Beshear says she won't run for office this fall; voters will elect her successor in November.

Potential candidates must file by this year's deadline, January 27.
