A convicted felon in Murray is behind bars after Kentucky State Police found him in possession of 26 guns, a ‘substantial amount’ of ammunition, body armor and explosive paraphernalia.
48-year-old Ray Powers is charged with 18 counts of possession of a firearm by a felon and eight counts of possession of a handgun by a convicted felon. These are Class D and Class C felonies respectively.
The Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms and the Calloway County Sheriff’s Office assisted KSP in the investigation.
Powers is lodged in the Calloway County Jail. An investigation is continuing.
