Tuesday Afternoon Update: The helicopter caught fire during a training exercise and was extinguished by Fort Campbell Fire and Emergency Services personnel.
Soldiers from the 1st Brigade Combat Team aided in the extraction of the aircraft personnel. The soldiers suffering injuries were transported to Vanderbilt University Medical Center and Blanchfield Army Community Hospital. Their families are still being notified.

Four 101st Airborne Division Soldiers are being treated for injuries suffered this morning after a UH60 Blackhawk helicopter, utilized in the Air Assault Division, was involved in a training incident at Fort Campbell.
The soldiers were transported to medical treatment facilities after the incident occurred at 11:07 today. According to a press release, their names and the nature of their injuries is not releasable at this time as the incident is still under investigation. More information will be released as it becomes available.
