UK, U of L Get Ready for Final Four
The University of Louisville/University of Kentucky rivalry will reach new heights tomorrow night when the Cards and the Cats clash in the NCAA Final Four in New Orleans. And as each team’s coach tries to play down any personal rivalry this week, Louisville Head Coach Rick Pitino acknowledges the die-hard nature of many fans, especially when it comes to games like this one.
“It ends up with a lot of bad marriages. A lot of mixed marriages that end up bad. You have a Louisville woman with a Kentucky man and it always ends up bad,”
Kentucky Governor Steve Beshear and his family will travel to New Orleans to watch the Final Four matchup. Lt. Governor, and former Louisville Mayor Jerry Abramson will join the Governor at the Final Four. But he’ll fly separately on a University of Louisville charter plane. The game tips-off tomorrow evening at 5:09 central time.
