Cadiz, Ky. – The polls opened this morning in Trigg County for an election to determine whether the county will repeal prohibition. Yesterday County Clerk Wanda Thomas estimated 50 to 60 percent of the county's registered voters would turn out today. As of mid-morning, she says, the turnout is consistent with her estimation. At about 10 AM, the clerk's office began counting absentee ballots. The polls close at 6 PM today.
