Tennessee law enforcement have confiscated more than 100 pounds of marijuana during a routine traffic stop in Henry County.
Paris Police Sergeant Ricky Watson says this is the largest drug bust in the city and county history.
"Last year, we managed to seize a shipment of 40 pounds," said Watson. "But I think this far exceeds that."
The county Sheriff’s Office and the PPD held a joint press conference today about the Thursday traffic stop that yielded 95 packages of marijuana each weighing 1.2 lbs.
Police pulled over a 2007 van for a headlight violation. While conducting a sweep of the van, an officer and his K-9 unit discovered the narcotics.
Police estimate a value of approximately $300,000 to $500,000.
30-year-old Isaac Conger is charged with felony possession of drugs. Police say he is a Henry County native but lives in Arizona.
During the investigation it was determined that the drugs were being transported from Arizona to New York.
Conger will be arraigned tomorrow.
