Murray, KY – Titan Tire executives say they plan to create 300 jobs in Union City, Tennessee by year's end at the facility formerly owned by Goodyear Tire. Titan Tire chairman Bill Campbell says the plant will produce and redistribute materials to other company locations. The plant will blend rubber and steel strands used as tire belts. Titan purchased the facility last September after Goodyear closed. The 43-year-old Goodyear plant, with 1,800 employees, was Obion County's largest employer, hiring workers from West Tennessee and western Kentucky.
