Three-Year-Old Clarksville Boy Dies After Self-Inflicted Gunshot Wound

A three-year-old boy in Clarksville is dead after accidentally shooting himself in the head Friday evening. 

According to a news release, Clarksville Police arrived at the house around 5:26 p.m. The boy was transported by ambulance to Tennova Hospital where he was pronounced dead shortly after.

The child and his parents live in Fort Riley, Kansas. Their connection to the resident in the house had not been established at the time of the news release.

The gun was a .40 caliber pistol owned by the resident.

No criminal charges have been filed. An investigation is ongoing.
