Three schools in far western Kentucky are among 25 projects sharing a total of more than $65 million as part of a state effort to improve workforce training.
The Work Ready Skills Initiative is awarding West Kentucky Community and Technical College $3,040,000, Paducah Public Schools $3,800,000 and Caldwell County Schools $1,520,000.

Launched in July 2016, the $100 million program is aimed at training and modernizing the state workforce. The remaining $35 million will go towards a second round of funding later this year.
