Republican State Representative Myron Dossett of Pembroke said he'll seek re-election in the 9th District, but new boundaries may pit him against his friend and Republican ally Ben Waide.
This year’s redistricting plan puts a large section of Hopkins County in Dosset's District, and moves Waide's 10th District to Breckenridge County. That leaves the district up for a potential Republican primary contest.
Waide is yet to make any formal campaign announcements, but Dossett said, for now, he’s preparing to wage a primary bid.
