Thunderstorms continue this evening, with possible flooding regionwide due to heavy rainfall.
The National Weather Service in Paducah says widespread showers and thunderstorms are expected again Monday. Severe storms are possible, with damaging winds. Locally heavy rainfall is possible into Monday evening.
Storms and high temperatures are possible through the rest of the week.

A line of thunderstorms moves across the region tonight, with a tornado or two possible. Possible rainfall between 1 to 2 inches.

Thunderstorms are expected to develop this afternoon, becoming widespread tonight. The National Weather Service in Paducah says locally heavy rainfall is the biggest threat with some severe storms primarily in the northern part of our listening area - where more than 3 inches of rain is expected. More storms expected Monday. Heavy rainfall is the primary concern, with some severe storms possible.

Potentially heavy rainfall is in the forecast over the July Fourth weekend. The National Weather service says severe weather Sunday afternoon and evening is dependent on a warm front moving into the region.
Another round of severe weather is possible Monday afternoon and evening along due to a cold front.
NWS estimates between two to four inches of rain over the weekend, primarily in the northern part of our region.
Flash flooding may also occur.
