The Murray State University men’s basketball team clinched their 24th regular season Ohio Valley Conference championship over the weekend.
The Racers’ 94-92 overtime win on the road against Southeast Missouri State University was the team’s 21st consecutive victory, the second longest active winning streak in the nation behind the undefeated Kentucky Wildcats.
This week's Associated Press Rankings doesn't include the Racers. The squad needed at least 110 votes to crack the list; they earned 38.
Murray State will go for 22 in a row this Saturday in Murray against rival Austin Peay State University. The Governors lost to UT Martin over the weekend, 67-61.
