The Murray State University men’s basketball team will host a first round National Invitation Tournament game this week after being denied an at-large bid to the NCAA Tournament over the weekend.
The third-seeded Racers will take on the University of Texas at El Paso Tuesday night at the CFSB Center. The game tips at 8 p.m. and will be televised on ESPN2. This is just the second home game for the Racers in eight total NIT appearances and the first since 1983.
Tickets will be on sale Monday and Tuesday at the CFSB Center's box office from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Tickets will also be sold over the phone at (270) 809-3000.
Should the Racers get past UTEP, they will face the winner of Tulsa and William & Mary this weekend.
