Dr. Ali Hendley, Assistant Professor of Sociology, and Dr. Marc Polizzi, Assistant Professor of Political Science, visit Sounds Good to discuss the preparation of the Women's Faculty Caucus's 3rd annual International Women's Day event and its keynote speaker, Mitzi Sinnott.
Mitzi Sinnott is a performance artist, activist, and educator. She is the creator of "SNAPSHOT: A true story of love interrupted by invasion," an award winning, one woman play about her literal and figurative journey to find her father, a veteran haunted by his experience in Vietnam. Sinnott has been hosted at institutions and organizations across the country to offer words of truth, inspiration, and to share her own personal journey as a woman of color.
Sinnott will be speaking at the MSU Women's Faculty Caucus's 3rd annual International Women's Day event on March 8th in the Curris Center Theatre. For more information on MSU's International Women's Day celebration, visit the Murray State calendar.
