Peel & Holland Reinvests in Downtown Murray

A regional insurance company will begin constructing a two story building in Murray's downtown this summer. Peel & Holland are designing a space for 12 employees and 2,500 square feet of office space for lease. Murray Main Street Program Director Deana Wright says it’s a wonderful part of the rebuilding process.

“The fact that they’ve committed to reinvest in downtown is a great benefit not only for the business owners but for the community,” Wright said.

Wright says the challenge for Peel & Holland will be the cost of rebuilding. Peel & Holland President Roy Riley says there’s a need for professional space in downtown Murray and they see a need in the future of needing some space for their own organization.

“Well we believe in Murray, we think being downtown is a great option for our employees for our clients. Downtown has easy access in and out of downtown and we have a lot of clients located downtown. We’re really excited about the opportunity,” Riley said.

Riley says they are still in the design process but they will not be rebuilding the “Far Lands” storage space for Playhouse in the Park

The new facility will be located at 5th and Maple Streets, where they were located before the 2014 fire.
