Paducah Softball Coach Arrested for Rape

Police arrested a Paducah Middle School softball coach yesterday after learning about an alleged inappropriate relationship with a 14-year old girl. 27-year-old Sammy Montgomery is charged with third-degree rape and first-degree sexual abuse. 

Investigators say they learned about the relationship yesterday morning after the girl’s mother called police. The girl confirmed she and Montgomery had carried on a relationship for several months, and had sexual intercourse about a month ago. Montgomery is held at the McCracken County Jail.
