Paducah Police Update Commission
By Chris Taylor
Paducah, KY – Paducah Police officials briefed city commissioners yesterday on a new inter-agency partnership agreement and grants. The agreement assigns a drug unit detective to a Kentucky State Police drug task force and another detective to the U-S Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives. Assistant Chief Danny Carroll says the partnership will bring Paducah's drug investigation operation to a whole new level and hopes it will increase forfeitures to get a better return on their efforts. The grants total over a quarter million dollars and will go toward a new bomb-disposal robot, bullet-proof vests, and general expenses.
