Paducah Installs Seasonal Rink
By Casey Northcutt
Paducah, KY – Shoppers will have a new incentive to peruse Downtown Paducah this Christmas. Park Services Director Mark Thompson says a new seasonal ice skating rink will open on Nov. 14. The rink is designed to attract visitors and to boost downtown holiday business. The 120 by 50 foot oval will cost the city approximately 125-thousand-dollars and will be located in the Farmer's Market Parking lot. Regular admission will be $5 including skate rental, however skaters can enter for less during Monday's Dollar Day. Children may also circle the ice with their favorite superhero or cartoon characters each Saturday morning during the rink's $3 Character Days. The rink will close on January 4.
