Paducah CVB Earns State Arts Award

The Paducah Convention and Visitors Bureau has received state honors for its role in the city’s artistic reputation. 

Governor Steve Beshear will present the Kentucky Arts Council “Government Award” at a ceremony in Frankfort Thursday.

According to the Arts Council, the CVB helped make Paducah one of seven worldwide leading cities in craft and folk art as designated by the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization.

Beshear will present eight other category winners, including two from our region. Driftwood sculptor Willie Rascoe of Hopkinsville will be named the "Folk Heritage" award winner along with "National Award" winner, Bowling Green native and Grammy Award winner Sam Bush.
