The U.S. Chamber of Commerce is recognizing the Paducah Chamber as one of the nation’s top one percent of all member organizations.
According to a Paducah Chamber press release on Wednesday, the local chapter is being awarded a five-star accreditation, which is one of the highest awards offered by the U.S. Chamber.
Accreditation is the only national program that recognizes chambers for their effective organizational procedures and community involvement. Paducah joins three others in the state to receive five stars, including Bowling Green and Christian County.
Paducah Chamber President Sandra Wilson says they are thrilled to be recognized and they “worked really hard to move to the top ranking from the U.S. Chamber.”
The chamber was recognized in 2017 as the National Chamber of the Year by the Association of Chamber of Commerce Executives. The Paducah Chamber claims it is the fifth largest in the state and the region’s largest business advocacy organization.
