NRA Endorses Comer for Congress

Comer for Congress Campaign

The National Rifle Association endorses Comer for Congress. Republican First Congressional District Candidate James Comer says the support is “the biggest and most coveted endorsement in the entire race.”

“What makes this special is this is probably the only race in America where the NRA is going to endorse in an open seat primary, so we are real excited about that and the momentum it's going to add to our campaign, ” says Comer.

NRA Chairman Chris Cox acknowledges in the endorsement letter Comer’s co-sponsorship in 2012 as a Kentucky State Representative of the Right to Fish and Hunt Act and his support of immunity from prosecution in lawful use of force. Comer is running to replace retiring Congressman Ed Whitfield in the May 17 Republican primary. He previously served as Agricultural Commissioner of Kentucky and state house representatives and ran an unsuccessful bid for Governor last year.
