November's House Lineup

Murray, KY – As the deadline for candidates to file for public office came to a close yesterday, several candidates are in line to vie for regional House seats in November's general election.

First District Republican Incumbent Steven Rudy will face Democrat Mike Lawrence for the West McCracken seat.

Fourth District Democrat Incumbent Mike Cherry will face Republican Lynn Bechler. The fourth district encompasses Livingston, Crittenden, Caldwell, and eastern McCracken Counties.

Fifth District Democrat Incumbent Melvin Henley will face Republican Corey McBee for the Calloway and Trigg seat.

Sixth District Democrat Incumbent Will Coursey will face Republican Monti Collins for the Marshall and Lyon Counties seat.

Several House incumbents are running unopposed, including: Democrat Fred Nesler of Mayfield, Republican Brent Housman of Paducah, Democrat John Tilley of Hopkinsville, and Democrat John Arnold, Jr. of Sturgis.
