Monday:

Loretta Daniel, Director of the Kentucky Innovation Network Office at Murray State University, stops by to talk about the upcoming Entrepreneur Resource & Vendor Fair to be held in Hopkinsville, November 17th.

A Preserving Our Voices segment from previous years. Hear the new POV special during Sounds Good on November 27. German immigrant Rolf Pitsch of Hopkinsville recounts his family's experiences as refugees in the aftermath of WWII.

Tuesday:

For Veteran's Day, Matt Markgraf speaks with Sarah Hopley of Murray State Libraries about the time when Murray State University was a Naval Flight Training School during WWII.

A conversation with Murray neurologist Dr. Chris King.

Wednesday:

Puppies Sound Good! We'll meet one (or more) adoptable puppies from the Calloway County Humane Society and get an update from Kathy Hodge about events coming soon.

For Veteran's Day, Matt Markgraf speaks with Mary Nita Bondurant, Martin Kane and Chris Gunlefinger of the Discovery Park of America about the Sgt. Alvin C. York traveling exhibit now on display through January 3. They talk about how the Tennessee native became one of the most decorated soldiers in the U.S. Army for his contributions during WWI. 

Thursday:

Diwali is a five day Indian festival and celebration of lights. Matt Markgraf speaks with Mayur Bhandare, President of the Indian Student Association at Murray State about the holiday, how his family is celebrating back home and the event hosted by students in Winslow Hall on November 14.

Jessica Perkins tells us about the upcoming Paducah Affordable Art Show at the Yeiser Art Center on November 12 from 5 to 8 p.m. (the day this airs).

Friday:

Tracy Ross gets a Racer Football and Basketball update from 'Voice of the Racers' Neal Bradley.

Matt Markgraf joined the WKMS team as a student in January 2007. He's served in a variety of roles over the years: as News Director March 2016-September 2019 and previously as the New Media & Promotions Coordinator beginning in 2011. Prior to that, he was a graduate and undergraduate assistant. He is currently the host of the international music show Imported on Sunday nights at 10 p.m.
