A new state hotline is now available to qualifying parents who have questions about child custody and visitation in Kentucky.

A Legal Aid Society attorney will be fielding calls to the hotline that officially went online two weeks ago.

Steve Veno with the Cabinet for Health and Family Services anticipates calls about filing a motion and how to file or change a child custody or visitation order in the appropriate court.

The Legal Aid Society attorneys can’t file legal proceedings, appear in court, or address child support issues.

The toll free Custody and Visitation hotline number is 844-673-3470. It’s operating Monday through Friday starting at 9 a.m.
