Murray Police Department officers responded at the WATCH, Inc. Activity and Wellness Center Tuesday morning after receiving reports of a man with a gun in the nearby area.
Calloway County coroner Rick Harris confirms that 48-year-old John Mark Dillon died at the scene as a result of what is believed to be a self-inflicted gunshot wound. Harris says an autopsy will be performed Wednesday in Louisville to confirm that Dillon's wound was self-inflicted.
MPD Sgt. David Howe says no foul play is suspected and there is no danger to the public.
According to murraywatch.org, the organization provides adult day training, vocational rehabilitation and job placement for developmentally-disabled adults.
