The National Science Foundation has awarded $1.1 million to Murray State’s Science Department.
The grant will be used to support graduate and undergraduate student scholarships and travel to research sites, professional meetings and summer biodiversity programs.
The Grant was awarded to Dr. Dayle Saar, and biology faculty Doctors Michael Flinn and Tim Spier will serve as mentors on the grant. Earlier this year, MSU received $3.8M to study toxic algae blooms.
