Democratic National Committee

Today on NPR:

The end of the Labor Day holiday marks the beginning of the 2012 Presidential race's last lap.

In Kentucky:

  • A new report says 22 children died from abuse or neglect in the Commonwealth; nevertheless, the number represents a drop from last year.
  • The AMA says there's an alarming growth in the number of newborns suffering from drug withdrawal.
  • No Kentuckians are slated to speak to Democrats at their national convention in Charlotte this week.
  • The Murray State Racer football team starts the season with a loss to No. 7 FSU.

In Tennessee:

Todd Hatton hails from Paducah, Kentucky, where he got into radio under the auspices of the late, great John Stewart of WKYX while a student at Paducah Community College. He also worked at WKMS in the reel-to-reel tape days of the early 1990s before running off first to San Francisco, then Orlando in search of something to do when he grew up. He received his MFA in Creative Writing at Murray State University. He vigorously resists adulthood and watches his wife, Angela Hatton, save the world one plastic bottle at a time.
