Monday Flights Cancelled at Barkeley Regional Airport

Barkley Regional Airport

Barkley Regional Airport in Paducah has canceled flights this afternoon because of severe weather. Airport Marketing Director Eddie Grant says due to the volume of cancelations nationwide, flights are filling up fast.  The local airport only provides flights to Chicago and the earliest availability at the moment to rebook is Thursday.  Grant says the best way to check schedules is via United.com and the airport’s twitter and Facebook accounts. The Associated Press reports a winter storm forecast could bring Chicago up to a half-inch of ice and wind gusts reaching 60 mph. The National Weather Service says power outages are possible.

Grants says those needing to rebook can do so by calling 1-800-864-8331. Call delays are expected.
