More than 150 Mid-Continent University students are in the process of transferring to Murray State.
MSU Transfer Center Director Maria Rosa says there is no information on how many of those students have enrolled in class for the summer or fall, but 40 of the 153 transfers have already been admitted.
Rosa says a third of those students plan to take classes at a regional campus, 30 percent at the main campus and 37 percent online.
Mid-Continent is set to close June 30th and is currently operated by volunteer staff after a battery of financial issues that brought sweeping layoffs. Mid-Continent is working with MSU, University of the Cumberlands and Campbellsville University on teach-out agreements for its students’ continued education.
