McCracken County Library Seeking Input for Strategic Plan

McCracken County Public Library is seeking community input for a new strategic plan.

Director Susan Baier said new technology can make library landscapes outdated quickly. She said an updated plan includes community surveys now and focus groups in the fall.

She said the library is looking to better serve the county through possible partnerships with other community organizations. “There are so many fantastic agencies and organizations in this area. So I think this process will alert us to other organizations with similar or complementary missions as ours.”

The library has already collected 400 survey responses, she said, and many people have asked for more book drops.

The library aims to have their new strategic plan finalized and ready to implement by early 2018.
