McConnell to Speak at Paducah Chamber Business Luncheon

Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell is the featured speaker at a Paducah area business gathering later this month. Paducah Area Chamber of Commerce is sponsoring a public policy luncheon August 15. 

McConnell will speak about Congressional issues and answer questions concerning the regional business community. The event is sponsored by Fluor and Swift & Staley and will be held at the Walker Hall Events Center at 11:30 a.m.

The event is open to the public. Registration is required by August 10. The cost is $20 per person. Register online here.

The sixth-term senator from Louisville has recently indicated an interest in running for re-election in 2020.

Matt Markgraf joined the WKMS team as a student in January 2007. He's served in a variety of roles over the years: as News Director March 2016-September 2019 and previously as the New Media & Promotions Coordinator beginning in 2011. Prior to that, he was a graduate and undergraduate assistant. He is currently the host of the international music show Imported on Sunday nights at 10 p.m.
