Louisville businessman and former U.S. Senate candidate Matt Bevin will file to run for statewide office Tuesday.
Bevin, who lost to Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell in last May’s Republican primary, has not yet indicated the office for which he is filing. There has been speculation that he would join James Comer, Hal Heiner and Will T. Scott in seeking Kentucky’s Republican gubernatorial nomination.
Bevin will file as a candidate at 1 p.m. CST in Frankfort.
