Live Broadcast from W.C. Handy Blues & Barbecue Festival

We're teaming up with WNIN of Evansville to bring you live music from the W.C. Handy Festival in Auburn Mill Park in Henderson this week! We hope to broadcast 8 p.m. performances Wednesday through Saturday nights including The Voices of the Wetlands Allstars including Cyrille Neville, Chubby Carrier and the Bayou Swamp Band, The Homes Brothers and JanivaMagness. Sounds Good!

The World's Premier Zydeco Showman, Chubby is the third generation of zydeco artists with such famous relatives as Roy Carrier (father), Warren Carrier (grandfather), and cousins Bebe and Calvin Carrier who are presently considered legends in zydeco history.

Matt Markgraf joined the WKMS team as a student in January 2007. He's served in a variety of roles over the years: as News Director March 2016-September 2019 and previously as the New Media & Promotions Coordinator beginning in 2011. Prior to that, he was a graduate and undergraduate assistant. He is currently the host of the international music show Imported on Sunday nights at 10 p.m.
