Families in western Kentucky needing help keeping the heat on this winter can begin applying next week for the Low-Income Home Energy Assistance Program, or LIHEAP.West Kentucky Allied Services will begin accepting applications from families whose last name begin with ‘A’ Tuesday, and proceed alphabetically up until December 9th.
Applicants will need to provide a copy of their most recent heating bill or rent receipt, proof of social security or green card and proof of income for every member of the household.
LIHEAP is funded in part under a contract with the Cabinet Health and Family Services and Community Action of Kentucky.
