Kentucky Secretary of State Alison Lundergan Grimes says there is "no evidence" that the voter registration system has been compromised and her office believes "it is not vulnerable to outside threats."
Grimes says her office will continue to work with the U.S. Election Assistance Commission, the FBI and Department of Homeland Security to protect against election threats.
Her statement is light of election security concerns in some states. Illinois officials shut down the state’s voter registration database in July after discovering it had been hacked. Arizona officials took similar action in June.
