Kentucky Educational Television host Ferrell Wellman will emcee the political speeches at this year's Fancy Farm picnic. Wellman typically presides over a panel of journalists appearing on the KET program "Comment on Kentucky." The picnic has historically been the place where Kentucky candidates kick off campaigns. Although politics is a major draw, the event is a fundraiser for Saint Jerome Parish. It draws some 10,000 people and generates about $250,000 annually. This year’s picnic is set for August 3rd
